Are you sensitive to the whole of life and creation?

A phenomenon is often defined as a rare and remarkable event that stands out due to its extraordinary qualities. In this context, the term is used to describe something that is scarce in our everyday lives, which is why I refer to it as a phenomenon. Something I call "Absolute Attention.” Absolute Attention can be described as the ability to maintain a continuous, unbroken focus on a specific object, person, or situation, free from any distractions or conditions. Perceived through our senses and also by the mind, our sense within.

The autonomous reactions of our daily lives are the de facto standard for attention as we know it. However, Absolute Attention transcends this by providing a continuous, unconditioned stream of concentration. It eliminates the duality that typically accompanies observation, allowing us to go beyond the superficial layers of our conditioned perspectives. By doing so, it avoids division, judgment, and bias. Absolute Attention also alters our perception of time. It must arise naturally, without conformity, otherwise, merely being aware of it can lead us into a cognitive process of deep attention, potentially causing us to miss its essence altogether.

In moments of joy, our inhibitions fade, and time seems to fly by. During these times, our minds naturally engage in Absolute Attention. The joy we experience, whether from rewards, love, satisfaction, or laughter, is triggered by a chemical reaction in our brains, releasing a variety of "happy chemicals." The four main ones are dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphins, each playing a role in how we experience happiness. Our joyful moments are intricately tied to the evolutionary blueprint, shaping our behaviours in ways that promote survival and well-being, driving the course of evolution.

To shed our inhibitions in daily life, we must perceive the world with fresh eyes. Beauty serves as a gateway to this renewed perspective. Without it, we often find ourselves repeatedly chasing the same pleasures, leading to diminishing satisfaction and mounting frustration. Societal evolution has shaped our experiences in ways that make maintaining a fresh perspective challenging. Despite the abundance of resources, guidance on achieving this often remains vague, typically limited to practices like meditation, which can be perplexing for many. Drawing from my own experience, achieving a fresh perspective doesn’t demand intense or complex meditation. Instead, a simple practice of light meditation and sensory purification can serve as a starting point for acquiring Absolute Attention. This approach brings joy into your daily life and enhances your ability to become more attuned and sensitive to the full spectrum of life and creation, allowing you to appreciate the potential that has always been within reach.

With Absolute Attention, we awaken to the beauty in everyday natural elements and deepen our awareness of the underlying patterns of evolution. The breathtaking colours of the sky, a favourite song, the scent of your favourite cologne, the taste and feel of a delicious fruit, or the softness of your pet's fur, all reveal a beauty shaped over countless years. While some attribute this beauty to random atomic arrangements, others perceive a purposeful design in evolution. If you align with the latter perspective, you'll experience these natural wonders with great reverence and empathy. Nature's beauty embodies both a cause and a blueprint. The cause, often driven by survival or sexual selection, explains how animals adapt to their environments or evolve features. This adaptation can involve genetic changes, such as the activation or repression of specific genes, which may enhance their attractiveness to potential partners or improve their survival.

Evidence of this blueprint becomes apparent when we closely examine the exquisite aspects of the world around us. We discover not only messages embedded in geometry, numbers, patterns, and codes but also a great sense of significance and interconnectedness in nearly every object. This blueprint can be described as the omnipotent will of a creator, setting the wheels of creation and evolution in motion across the cosmos, all governed by the laws of nature.

One of the most compelling examples of love's influence on evolution can be seen in human behaviour. Our ability to empathise, show compassion, and cooperate has been crucial to our survival and success as a species. The care we provide to our young, the social bonds we form within our communities, and our capacity to collaborate on a global scale all highlight the significant role of love in our evolutionary journey. The DNA code, with its four-letter alphabet, contains the instructions for the development and function of all living organisms. This code, passed down through generations, continuously adapts and evolves, ensuring the survival and success of species. Furthermore, the adaptability of this blueprint suggests a compassionate designer behind the process. At the root of every cause, love appears to be the driving force.
